What is Asbestos and the Risks

Asbestos containing materials (ACMs) were used in construction because of their fire resistance and strength. However, when asbestos materials are disturbed they release asbestos fibres into the air which can cause serious health risks such as lung cancer and mesothelioma. A proper asbestos survey will help you locate and assess ACMs so you can manage or remove them safely in accordance with the Control of Asbestos 2012.
